She gets no reception, she keeps dropping her arm load of gifts nothing is going right for Angela. Upset and anxious Angela begins to search for help. With an arm load of gifts she goes into the parking garage and gets into her car, the only problem is, the car won’t start. It’s Christmas Eve and business woman Angela (Rachel Nichols) is leaving work after a long day to go spend the holiday with her family. Overall, Iron and Wines music has, by the third album, taken on a much more upbeat approach to their music. Not only Iron and Wine introduce even more instrumentation, Sam Beam begins to sing with more force and soul. The next album, The Shepherd’s Dog takes that change even further.

Though there is still very little percussion we can begin to see a change towards the more rhythmic full band style music.
On Our Endless Numbered Days Iron and Wine began to more focus on a full band feel. However these two albums marked the start of a change for Iron and Wine. Continue in the same vain as The Creek Drank the Cradle, these next two albums continued with the same basic, highly lyrical acoustic folk. Between 20 Iron and Wine put out two more albums Our Endless Numbered Days, and The Shepherd’s Dog. Iron and Wine’s music, from the start, was highly accessible and relatable and it is no different now. Sam Beam is in every way and artist lyrically he paints pictures he also creates his own album artwork. In fact the entire album was written and produced the artist. The album gives off a very relaxing and humble atmosphere.
His first album, The Creek Drank the Cradle was the first look into the mind of Sam Beam. Though a bit unknown, at least for the first two albums, Iron and Wine developed a devoted following. With a home-spun charm and soft and intimate vocals, Iron and Wine found there place. With three albums already under his belt under Sub-pop records Iron and Wine has found his place among modern folk legends. Samuel Beam, better known as Iron and Wine, has certainly already established himself amongst the indie scene.
